VIVITROL is a prescription injectable medicine used to:
  • Treat alcohol dependence
  • Prevent relapse to opioid dependence, after opioid detoxification

To be effective, treatment with VIVITROL must be used with other alcohol or drug recovery programs such as counseling. VIVITROL may not work for everyone.
PAST Recovery Services has partnered with Positive Recovery Solutions (PRS) to bring Vivitrol to Jay and surrounding counties! PRS is a mobile Medicated-Assisted Treatment provider that administers Vivitrol to referred individuals.

Each patient leaves their monthly treatment with a scheduled appointment for their next monthly injection. Between PRS treatment sessions, Jay County Drug Prevention Coalition Peer Recovery Coaches and PRS professionals will engage with participants to provide wellness touchpoints, encouragement, and support services to keep them on the path to recovery. PRS has an 86.8% success rate when combined with counseling, and patients that engage in services between treatment are three times more likely to adhere to their recovery plan.

Positive Recovery Solutions accepts Medicaid and commercial insurance, and Jay County Drug Prevention Coalition recovery services are free to individuals in Jay, Blackford, Huntington, Delaware, Randolph, Wells, and Adams Counties.
If you or a loved one is interested in entering Vivitrol Medicated-Assisted Treatment for opioid or alcohol use disorder, please contact Ally Raines to get the referral process started.
